During the winter months we sell firewood, salt and other de-icing products, both by the cubic yard and by the bag.
Firewood
• Available in 12" and 16". Our firewood is aged (seasoned) 1 year minimum, and is a mixture of maple and beech wood.
• Sold by the face cord.
• One face cord is 4' x 8' 1 layer deep. One bush cord is 4' x 8' x 4' (4 layers of 12" or 3 layers of 16").

Road Salt

ClearLane Treated Salt
• ClearLane enhanced deicer is a pre-wetted deicer providing increased value over bulk deicing salt by requiring less salt usage per lane mile. In addition, ClearLane enhanced deicer provides corrosion protection to user equipment. Clear Lane enhanced deicer is bulk deicing salt pre-mixed for customers with a mixture of liquid magnesium chloride, a PNA approved corrosion inhibitor and a colouring agent. The blended product is mixed with a patent pending mixing process ensuring a non-leaching product that holds all of the liquid pre-treatment.

Thawrox Treated Salt
• In conjunction with Sifto Canada, Innovative Surface Solutions introduces its premium deicer called Thawrox. A premium salt pre-treated with liquid magnesium chloride and a viscosity modifier that keeps salt from bouncing off the road or blowing away in the wind. The result is fewer application trips along with lower fuel and labour costs. Thawrox lasts longer and works in colder temperatures (to -30ºC/-22ºF).

Pickled Sand
• A mix of 80% brick sand to 20% road salt. Provides deicing as well as traction.

Calcium Chloride Flake 83-87%
• DOWFLAKE XTRA - Clacium chloride boasts the lowest practical working temperature -32ºC (-25ºF) of all commonly used chloride deicers. Unlike rock salt, flake calcium chloride generates heat (exothermic) as it melts ice and snow. It actually undercuts ice about 3.5 times faster than rock salt. DOWFLAKE is an engineered product, manufactured under exacting quality-controlled conditions.

• Salt treated witha proprietary blend of liquid MAG and distillers sollubles. Magic Salt lasts longer and,melts faster at lower temperatures than regular salt. Magic Slat also prevents refreezing commonly associated with regular rock salt. Magic Salt with the addition of the distillers sollubles is corrosive inhibited, prolonging the life of expensive equipment and infrastructure.

MAG Flake & Pellet
• Safe for people, pets, plants and the environment while melting ice and snow effectively down to -25ºC (-13ºF). MAG, 47% Pure Hexahydrate Magnesium Chloride, is less corrosive to metals and less damagin to concrete than most commonly used deicing alternatives. MAG is less toxic than baking soda and leaves a clear liquid residue.. MAG is your high performance environmentally safe alternative.

ProMelt Slicer
• Mother Nature's Mineral Deicer that Works!! ProMelt Slicer is a medium grade homogenous road salt in which each particle contains all 4 common chlorides plus over 20 trace minerals. Each granule contains the above minerals as opposed to a typical blend which is just a mixture of products. Use less, lasts longer, and is effective to -15ºC (+5ºF).

ProMelt Ultra
• Treated salt with Caliber M2000 greatly enhances the performance of the salt, especially at colder temperatures. The increased performance, along with the reduced bounce and scatter experiences when using a wetted solid, translates into a reduction of material required. Furthermore, Caliber Treated Salt will be fre flowing regardless of temperature.
